MAY 16
Relay For Life Logo YARD/BAKE SALE will be held at the church by the Relay For Life Team on Saturday, May 16th. It’s time for Spring Cleaning! On Saturday, May 16th, the Bunkertown Brethren Church’s Relay for Life Team will be holding their annual yard/ bake sale at the church. If there are any items that you wish to donate for this fundraiser, please let Jason or Kim Stuck know and/or drop them off at the church, in the Family Life Center, beginning Wednesday evening, May 13th. You do not need to price the items because we will be asking for people to pay through a monetary donation.

We will be setting up for the yard sale May 13th through May 15th after 5pm each day so if you wish to help, please feel free to do so, and any help on Saturday from 8am-2pm will also be greatly appreciated. This has been a vital fundraiser for our team, and we couldn’t have done it in previous years without everyone who donated items and helped to work. All proceeds will go to help find a cure for cancer through the American Cancer Society. If you wish to pick up any of your belongings after the yard sale, please be at the church by 1:30pm on May 16th. We will be donating all remaining items to the Labor of Love Thrift Store in Middleburg. All proceeds from the thrift store support the By Grace Women’s Transitional Home as well as other local needs.

We will be having a sandwich sale in April to help raise funds for the relay team. More details to follow. All proceeds will go to help find a cure for cancer through the American Cancer Society. Visit Relay For Life.
June 13
Relay For Life Logo RELAY FOR LIFE The Relay for Life event will be at Derry Township Park on Saturday, June 13th from 10am-10pm. We will be placing a sign-up sheet in the narthex of the church for anyone that is interested in walking. The event requires that we always have a team member on the walking trail during this 12-hour period (this will be the first year that the event will not be over a 24-hour period). Again, we’ve appreciated your willingness in the past to help support the team through your physical and financial support. Our goal is to raise $5000 this year. If you are a cancer survivor, there is a survivor ceremony, meal, and other activities throughout the day that are done to honor you and any caregivers. Anyone who prefers not to walk but would rather visit us and experience the activities that go along with the event, please feel free to come visit us on Saturday at Derry Township Park. This year’s theme is the 80’s era so you can relive those styles, music, and fads while helping to fight cancer. We’d love to see you there!

The Relay will be held at several locations in our area. Learn more about this National effort to fight against cancer and get involved through one of these Relay locations.

WEB UPDATES

Web Development Check out the latest updates to our website. Changes might be minor or something of greater importance; something trivial or something great. Look here first to discover what we've recently done. Latest updates are usually at the top of the list.
  • YOUTH GROUP listed more upcoming events and a meeting to plan more. Also remember that Clearances are required for participation in Youth events and here is where you apply.
  • BUNKERTOWN CONSTITUTION (Interim Version, 9-29-2019)
  • WEATHER at McAlisterville has been added at the bottom of the Announcements section. If you do not already have a bookmark to this information then click there to avail yourself of all the many resource such as temperatures, radar maps, storm warnings andforcasts by the hour, day, or 5 days.
  • CHURCH APP was given a home of its own to better explain the content and satisfy expectations. There is also a list of other apps to better accompany your experience. Thus far we have seen over 240 downloads and very positive comments.
  • HOME INDEX now has a third tier of icon links to special resources and our more heavily visited areas of the website. Additional links have also been inserted into the other tiers.
  • DIRECTIONS has been given a more expansive MAP with more local businesses and in much greater detail. A new enhanced OUTSIDE PHOTO replaced the former one.
  • MUSIC has been added to the INFORMATION menu tab. Here you will discover all things related to the musical program of the church. Listen to each of our recorded cantatas. Acquire, schedules, documents, music symbols, and how to configure your system to play MP3 audio.
  • Image backgrounds for our web site are changed periodically. Each are selected with great care so that the graphic message corresponds to the beliefs and standards of our church. Normally they are hidden behind the blocks of text. To appreciate the full image, please just scroll to the very bottom of any page, and the many blocks of text will rise above the top.
  • MORE BIBLE APPS have been added to give you a greater selection of Bibles to reference during Sunday School, Bible Study, Worship, or at home research.
  • CHRISTIAN EDUCATION is a new web page to augment the educational interests and trainings of our congregation. Here you will find Brethren documents, Historical documents, Suggested reading, Topical Bible Verses, and new Membership information.
  • TOP MENU was restructured to accomodate a growing number of materials and new web pages. INFORMATION is a new entry which now comprises other former top menu pads such as Activities and History.
  • eBROCHURE is a sophisticated page flipping ebook provided for "First Visitors" to Bunkertown when a special friend is not available to prepare them for that first experience. Open it and learn how it can be helpful to someone that you would like to invite. Pages can be changed by dragging from the corners or by clicking the left and right arrows.
  • SPECIAL DOCUMENTS is a new section of our News area. Here you will find pertinent information, monthly calendars, and online fillable forms which can then be saved to your local computer or mobile device. Unfortunately, the Firefox browser started using their own PDF viewer, so filling and saving forms may not work unless you reconfigure to their plugin.
  • PRESCHOOL is a new section that has been added to enable parents to learn more about the Preschool ministry and how their child may benefit from the program. Information includes ministry introduction, registration form, photos, and hours of operation.
